Doc' en herbe

The association Doc' en Herbe is a group of happy volunteer PhD Candidates who invest in the running and organization of the Doctoral School “Sciences du Végétal” and who organise regular convivial meetings. The members of the association meet with the direction team of the Doctoral School when necessary to exchange information and let the management team know about the general climate and any problems in preparation for the council meetings, and for working out details of the organization of the PhD-Days and the general assembly.

The elections took place on November, 15th 2018.
  • President: Richard RIGO
  • Treasurer: Hayat SEHKI
  • Secretary: Pierre GAUTRAT
  • Vice-secretary: Clément PICHOT
  • Communication: Marine GUILCHER
  • BIOTECHNO Referent: Houda HENCHIRI
Doc' en herbe's team organizes the PhD Days every year.
What are the PhD Days? These are three exciting days during which you will attend the doctoral school's annual general meeting (you will elect your representatives!), a talk of a prestigious guest speaker and you will have the opportunity to present your research (oral or poster) to the other doctoral school's students. You will also have the opportunity to think about the future during a round table organized with doctors from ED145 who now work in the academic research or the private sector!

Overall, of course, punctuated with lunch at noon and coffee breaks with pastries!
Finally to make this event unforgettable, just after the conference we will have games on campus followed by a party (pizza or BBQ depending on the weather, as well as diluted ethanol from 3° to 40°, graciously offered by the association).
The participation to all three days of conference (except games and party) is mandatory, and will count as training. Participation to the conference is of course free (covered by the association and the doctoral school). The inability to participate (illness, professional obligation, others...) will have to be justified to the doctoral school.
